Our golf course was originally established in 1924 by ‘South Coast Recreations’ on the outskirts of what was to become the beachside suburb of Southport.  ‘South Coast Recreations’ also owned a cinema and a hotel complex and were keen to develop ‘The South Coast’ as a holiday destination.

In 2024 we are celebrating our Centenary year and we have researched and documented a wealth of information, some fun facts, some little-known stories, some photographs and news clippings.  Over the course of our centenary year we will post the results of the task here so be sure to come back and visit these pages on a regular basis.
