Founded in 1924, Southport Golf Club is widely recognised as ‘a premier golf club of choice’ and as the first golf course on the Gold Coast of Queensland.

In 2024 we are celebrating our Centenary year and we have researched and documented a wealth of information, some fun facts, some little-known stories, some photographs and news clippings.  Over the course of our centenary year we will post the results of the task here so be sure to come back and visit these pages on a regular basis.

The pioneers of Southport Golf Club sought to create a golf club offering challenging golf and a community culture.

Today, steeped in tradition and with a heritage that is acknowledged and respected by both club members and the wider community, Southport Golf Club continues to diligently build an inclusive culture that looks to the future.

Offering social play 7 days a week, competition golf for men, women and junior golfers throughout each week together with a range of social functions, events and dining options throughout the year, we continue to set new benchmarks in contemporary golf club offerings.
